Profile
Alan Lowman founded his company with a single purpose: to support teachers in meaningful, practical ways — to make their jobs, and even their lives, easier. Drawing on his own classroom experience, Alan understood the daily challenges educators face. That insight inspired him to create Lowman Education as the partner every teacher deserves.
The mission of Lowman Education is to lighten the workload for teachers and administrators by removing the guesswork from instruction and STAAR® test preparation. From TEKS-aligned resources that are constantly updated to strategic review tools, every solution is designed to be practical, effective, and easy to implement.
At its core, Lowman Education believes that when teachers feel supported, students thrive. Today, more than 837 school districts and 2,700 campuses across Texas rely on Lowman to help educators work smarter, not harder.
“Teachers have always been at the heart of what we do. When we saw classrooms moving toward digital learning, we knew we had to evolve alongside them.”

Solution
To meet this challenge, Lowman Education partnered with Campfire Learning to develop Lowman Digital — a modern platform that digitizes assessments and simplifies classroom instruction while meeting rigorous curriculum and district standards.
Every Warm-Up, Assignment, Exit Pass, STAAR Blitz, and Unit Test was migrated to the platform and converted into a digital format for online testing. The platform supports technology-enhanced items and mirrors the online state testing experience students will encounter.
Teachers can assign activities directly to students, who can complete assessments through Lowman Digital, Google Classroom, Canvas, or Schoology — eliminating the need to toggle between systems or re-enter data.
“Campfire gave us the infrastructure to modernize quickly and at scale. We went from stacks of paper tests to a digital system that saves time, engages students, and makes teachers’ lives easier — while giving us confidence that we’re fully aligned and compliant.” — Alan Lowman
I love pen and paper. I really do. But I cannot argue with immediate feedback. That is ultimately what pushed us forward. Our customers want digital. That is where education is headed. And when you see students getting instant feedback and teachers having real-time data, it is hard to justify staying fully analog.

Impact
The results have been transformative. Lowman Digital now serves 837 school districts and more than 2,700 campuses across Texas. Teachers have fast, streamlined access to state-aligned digital assessments — saving valuable preparation time and improving instructional planning.
Students benefit from engaging, interactive assessments that mirror the online STAAR environment. Administrators gain confidence in both the reliability of delivery and the transparency of reporting.
“Lights out. Teachers tell us all the time: ‘My kids love it.’ The immediate feedback is a game-changer. Students engage differently when they can see their progress in real time. I recently received a text from a customer who had the platform up on the big board — her students were working through questions together. Seeing that in action was a genuine wow moment.” — Alan Lowman
At one training in East Texas, all three campuses had Lowman Digital — but only one knew how to use it. A teacher stood up mid-session and said, “Let me show you.” What started as frustration turned into excitement. By the end, they were saying it was even better than what they’d had before.
Working with Campfire has been beyond better than I would have hoped. The best way I can describe it is genuine mutual advocacy. It feels like a true partnership. Campfire does not just provide a service and disappear — they show up, they respond, and they genuinely care about our success.
We have never experienced support at that level before. It feels like they want us to win. And that makes all the difference.
